8.52a: Copy dialog cuts off directory name string

Post by *ykhabins »

Hello,

I am using TC 8.52a 64-bit version.

Tried to copy recently released MS Office 2016.
TC Copy dialog cuts off the following directory name:
Office Professional Plus 2016 (x86 and x64) - DVD (English)

down to:
Weird symbol Copy: 8,263 kbytes/s, 54 s

It is just a UI issue.
I have a screen shot for the reference.
Though it is very easy to reproduce by creating a directory named as above.

The copy operation itself works without any problem.

Could you make a screenshot (Alt+PrintScreen) of the dialog? I have never seen this problem, and would like to know what strange symbol you get.

Sorry for confusion.
It looks like that the forum allows images inclusion just via HTTP protocol.

I provided the screen shot via reply to support@ghisler.com email.

Got it, thanks! Were you running any background transfers at the same time?

No, it was a regular copy from the hard drive to the USB drive without any background transfers.

Because Office2016 file is > 2GB in size and the target USB is a slow media, the copy took long time with the cut off string being prominently visible.
