'left' and 'right' key closes search dialog

Post by *dschordsch »

Hi,

When i enter letters to filter the file list the search dialog pops up.

Here is the 'bug': When i have activated the 'short' view of the file list i can not navigate in that dialog using the 'left' and 'right' key. Then the dialog closes.

In the other views navigating in this dialog is possible (here pressing the escape key closes the dialog).

Regards, dschordsche.

'left' and 'right' key closes search dialog

Post by *dschordsch »

Hi,

Can some admin move the post with the same thread title in the 'TC8.0x bug reports (English)' forum to this place? I just updated TC to the latest version (8.52a 64 bit 2015-09-17) and the bug is the same.

Greetings

P.S. the forum wont allow me to post links yet, therefore i can not link to it.

Confirmed - but maybe the user really wants to jump sideways in the list? Please use up/down key to jump to next/previous file.

Christian,
maybe the user really wants to jump sideways in the list?
Well, in that case he can close the dialog by Esc first.

Hi again ‒ Sorry for reopening this old thread

How about: [left/right] closes the search dialog and navigates in the file list but [ctrl]+[left/right] navigates in the search dialog (using standard behaviour of jumping word by word). And when [ctrl]+[left/right] was pressed once also [left/right] navigates in the search dialog until it is closed with [esc].
