NOTE: The beta test is over!

You can get Total Commander for Windows Phone in the store on your phone now. Just search for

Total Commander

in the store on your phone (not on Windows). Or enter this URL in the browser ON YOUR PHONE:
ghisler.com/wp8

===========================================

I just finished the port of the Windows RT version of Total Commander (never released due to several problems) to Windows Phone 8.1! This is the first Windows Phone version where apps have write rights to external SD cards.

The Windows Phone version of TC supports the following features:
- virtual two panel mode (swipe between the two panels)
- basic file operations: select, copy, move, delete, new folder, properties (with rename)
- ZIP packer and unpacker with AES encryption
- Search function
- FTP and FTPS client
- OneDrive cloud drive access

If there is sufficient interest, I will add more functions if I can get the current version into the store.

Wow!!!! Great!!!! My Favorite Filemanager on my Favorite Mobile OS. That sounds great. Hopefully you could support Access to WebDAV, FTP and OneDrive Folders additional to the Local WP Folders.

Even though I haven't been using Total Commander for desktop in ages ever since Windows Explorer became actually useful, I'm very looking forward to the app for Windows Phone. I especially like the two pane support. :) Hopefully there'll be support for Windows shared folders at some point, which would make the app stand out even more from its competitors. :) Anyways, I subscribed for the beta and made an account for these forums here so I can provide feedback.

Hi.

I put some "marketing" efforts through #Twitter, seems to pay off to some extent.

Waiting for the beta invitation :)

FTP and oneDrive are already supported, WebDAV will be added once I get a first release into the store. Porting WebDAV will be a LOT of work due to all the xml parsing, therefore I want to be sure that all the effords don't go to waste.

Hi Christian,

I guess the #WP beta is still WIP as no invitations received? Any ETA? :)

I had to reduce the invitation interval to once a week because it takes a lot of time each time to submit a new version in the store (just to add the new e-mails). Please be patient.

I have used the time to add not only WebDAV, but also the Wifi Send and Receive plugin! It allows to send data between two Windows Phones, and also to/from Android and Desktop Windows. This will be all in beta 3.

Now unfortunatelly your e-mail about the beta download was unintentionally transferred to my "spambox" and deleted upon Outlook re-start, could you please re-send (pm perhaps) that information or put it available here somewhere...

Thx a lot!

You can download the beta here:
http://www.ghisler.com/tcwinphone

However, it will only work if you registered with the same mail as you use to log into the store. Why? Someone at Microsoft must be very paranoid, because every beta tester has to be registered manually by his e-mail address for the beta test.

Please just a humble question, how do you see with the sharp version?
