Directory Tree does not update upon changes outside TC

Post by *wayfinder »

When adding or deleting directories outside TC, the changes are not reflected in TC upon returning to it. In fact, you can double click deleted directories that are still visible in the Tree, and it will look as if that directory were now shown in the active file panel (but the panel itself will stay on the parent directory).

Can't confirm with TC either open or closed when a folder is either created or deleted outside of TC.

Bug confirmed: Directory Tree does not update upon changes outside TC

I can confirm this, but only if the option "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Refresh" -> "Don't react to updates while in the background" is enabled.

On the other hand with this option disabled, changes are updated immediately in the directory tree, BUT new diretories created outside TC is placed in arbitrary places in the tree (the tree is sorted again after collapsing and expanding the tree).

Also one of the file panels in TC has to show the directory where the the change from outside TC is made, in order for the Directory tree in TC to be updated.

This applies to File panel directory tree and to single or double Separate trees
