How-to Date format like "mm", Month number

Post by *kiwerry »

Greetings. Is there a way of adding a column in the Custom Columns configuration which shows the month as a number? The DateNames plugin allows the creation of a column with names (thanks to Lefteous), but I have found no way of showing just the month number (01-12), which would be useful for sorting by month.

There is a workaround, (using Multi-rename to put the month in front of the filename, [M]_[N] ), but a dedicated column would be less disruptive.

There is already a field in multi-rename to insert the date as a number:
[=?] Plugins -> tc -> WriteDate -> M

It can be used not only in multi-rename but also as a Custom Column, as the user had requested :D
