Exception EAccessViolation in module TOTALCMD.EXE

When my computer has been online for a while and I have an uptime of more then a few days, I keep getting this problem with Total Commander.

It happens when I switch from Total Commander to another program, most of the time but not always. I have to restart Total Commander over and over again, kind of irritating.

I have tried to reinstall Total Commander, with no effect.

The computer is a Tualatin Celeron 1.1A @ 733 MHz, Asus TUV4X, 256 MB PC133 runnig Win2k SP2.

Anyone got a solution for this?

What is the CRC of your totalcmd.exe file? Any Anti-Viral software running in background?

I think I have found the problem.
I forgot to enter a path in the 'Start in' field in the properties of the shortcut to Total Commander. I entered the path "c:\Program Files\totalcmd" and now the problem seems to be gone.

Strange that it only happend sometimes and not always. Windows is just strange I guess.

Nope, the problem is not gone. It just decided to stop bothering me for 24h.
The SFV checksum of my totalcmd.exe is E14AF9CF, I have no antivirus software running on this machine.

Is it always the same program or any program you switch to? When that happens are you doing anything specific with TC? Any other problems with your puter not involving TC (freezes, bsods etc.)?

I think the problem may have something to do with TightVNC which I run 24/7 on this machine. I reinstalled the whole system to another disk in the same machine but the problem was still there. Then I reinstalled again, this time I forgot to install TightVNC and I never had my little TC-problem since.
I'm not 100% sure it's TightVNC that's causing this. I will investigate this further.

I highly doubt TightVNC has anything to do with it, both my puters (client and server) run TightVNC and TC without any ill effects.

I'm using TightVNC too, and don't have this problem...
