about dzip:
Dzip is a program for file compression. It's advantage over more popular compression software is in the size of the program, easily fitting on a floppy disk.
It performs just as good as the competition, or slightly better, on average, both in compression ratio and time. Although we haven't done any scientific tests yet, it seems to be a lot better at compressing whole directories containing many small files.

i haven't been able to track down addon for multiarc to be able to use it
& don't have enough time/skills to make one myself
if anyone feels like his able to write it then i think many ppl would find it usefull
