Difference between ALT-F6 and ALT-F9

Post by *wanderer »

What is the difference between ALT-F6 and ALT-F9? Don't they both "unpack files"? If they indeed perform exactly the same task, since ALT-F5 is used to "copy" files into a zip file, wouldn't it be better if ALT-F6 was used to "move" them (like F5 and F6)?

They do the same - but Alt+F6 is used by some Windows versions, so it cannot be used by programs.

ALT+SHIFT+F5 do the move to zip but i think you could set keyboard shortcuts for packing procedures too.

Thanks both of you for the info. ALT-F6 seems to be a more natural way of moving files to zip (since F6 is used for moving files) but since ALT+SHIFT+F5 does the job... :)

[face=courier]Concerning "Alt"+"Shift"+"F5" and "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"F5" (which represent two modifications of cm_PackFiles) - as Val noticed once (can't remember was it eForum or nowadays), they don't work together, i.e. "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"Shift"+"F5" works the same way as "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"F5", though should move files to archive in the source panel. It looks rather like a bug than functionality lack, IMHO.
Christian, is it possible to fix it in 6.0? =)
BTW, "shesterka" suppose to be the all-time longawaited release...[/face]
