Disable exiting - TC 4ever ;)

Post by *rogras »

It would be great to have the option to disable exiting (and automatically replace it by minimize) if I try to exit with the cross or the keyboard.

Note: [Shortcut] A+X=2000 *don't* work!

But, on the other hand, sometimes we need more than one TC running at the same time and eventually we have to close one.
That's why I think we still need to be able to close it.

i think it's not a good idea. have you ever experienced windows always gets slower and slower if you don't make a restart? i think it's because of the unstoppable and unrestartable services, applications. tc grows in memory as all softwares and it's very important to close it (randomly or regularly).
i rather wish M$ built functions to restart everything in windows without rebooting the whole system.

on,
tc grows in memory as all softwares

I disagree with that.

That i need! :D

TC is the right GUI/OS for me... and not the WinGUI :P
Sometimes i hit exit button "unmeant" ... that is the prob!

It would be help if i get on "Exit" a popup with "Do you really want exit?"
What i Enable/Disable in TC-Options!

Trivia: The little [X] at the upper right corner is the quit button, it tells the current window to shut down/exit/close.

This is the way it should work with every windows program (there are some shitty ones that implement the unneeded behavior you request, it's also very annoying that I have to choose file-exit instead of using the normal scheme). If you aren't sure you want to exit DON'T push the [X] button (easy).

Cheers.

Understandable
but... Sometimes you have lots of screens open... close that close this... hups... Oh No... TC closed with 8)

It would be nice to have a Option where i Disable/Enable a Popup screen to approve the Exit...

?!?!?! I never had a use for such an option but i assumed it always existed. I searched the help but i didn't find anything. Perhaps it should be added, just in case someone needs it... :)

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.
