Flat Drive buttons

Post by *ben.royes »

Turning Flat Drive buttons on or off has no effect. Is this just me ?

Total Commander 5.50 (4.11.2002 )
Windows XP Build 2600

Thanks,
Ben

On Windows XP, flat buttons aren't currently supported. Reason: They are very complex (using multiple images with transparancy), and I couldn't get them to work correctly yet.

Windows Commander on XP shows flat icons perfectly. It was only after I downloaded Total Commander, that the drive buttons were different.

Does that help ?

Windows Commander uses the old Windows user interface, not the new XP UI. To see how the new XP flat buttons look like, have a look at the Internet Explorer toolbar...

The icons on my IE toolbar look flat to me. Only when I move the mouse over them do they have the button look to them.

Yes, but this wasn't my point! I wrote:

So what I wanted to say is that Windows Commander uses the old style (Win2k/98 ) flat buttons also on XP, while Total Commander uses the new style (non-flat) themed buttons for the lower bar and the drive buttonbar.
