full file name to show up in status bar

Post by *Jaws »

Hi,
Coming from the Norton Commander, this is a feature I greatly miss.
It would be great if the whole file name under the current cursor selection showed up in the status bar. Currently it shows how much files are in the current directory.
Often a file name is longer than the width of the Name column it is truncated - now I have to move the mouse over it and wait for the whole name to show up.

The way it worked in NC: Normally when you move the cursor up and down you always see the full file name of the file currently selected. As soon as you mark one or more files you see info about the marked files (how many, space, etc) in the status bar (just as TC does). But when you haven't selected any file, TC should IMHO show the current selection instead of the number of files in the directory.

Perhaps this could be implemented as an option?

Thanks for considering,
Bernhard

Add longinstatus=1 to the [Configuration] section of your wincmd.ini.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
