Selecting With Space Bar

Post by *jjcjrcpa »

Just stumbled on TC, and I really like it. The only thing I would change is to make the space move to the next file after selecting the current one. This would be easier than hitting Space - Down - Space - Down, etc.

Thanks!
John

Just add a line (or change if already exists) in wincmd.ini:

Code: Select all

SpaceMovesDown=1

Awesome! I thought it might be a setting in the INI file. Is there a comprehensive list of the settings available there?

Thanks,
John

Yes, it is - in manual - press F1 and go to the section 4.b (INI-File settings: wincmd.ini, wcx_ftp.ini (for FTP))

Thanks for helping this newbie! I have to say - i was a bit put off by the interface the first time I launched it. Now that I've dug into it for a while, I've got it totally customized - pretty slick!

Not everybody has two hands. I have only one good hand, and the ins key is too far from the cursor keys to reach and easily select files.

Space and Ins are not the same for dirs, so I like 'SpaceMovesDown' a lot - for a selection of dirs, because Shift+Alt+Enter calculates every folder.
BTW, Is there a way for calculating ONLY selected folders (beside win's Alt+Enter)?

True, but I usually have this situation: I select just about 10 dirs with thousands of files using Shift+arrows and I want to see how much space occupies each AND all together, because I need to burn them on a CD without spliting them. :)

In this case I need to select them with spaces again because Alt+shift+enter will take a lot to calculate. :(

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't know if I understood wrong but if the problem is loosing the selection you can use "/" for restoring it.
