Newbie tip ...

Post by *Mikey Boy »

New to this board and thought to pass along one of my favorite TC uses (pardon if this is already well-known) ...

Assign a tool bar entry and icon for cm_CopyFullNamesToClip ...

Because it is so much faster and easier to navigate within TC (esp w/ Directory Hotlists), when prompted for a filename in an open or save dialogue, open TC from the system tray, highlight the file, click the TC Toolbar item and paste into the dialog box ...

Find this especially useful when the path in the open or save dialog is set back to the desktop ... for saves, you can just copy the path and insert whatever filename in the dialog box field ...

or even faster when using a user defined shortcut:

As a newbie you may like this: TCExtMenu.mnu

It's a menu file I've created with all internal commands of TC visible. You'll see a dedicated section that might be useful to you also with shortcuts assigned as Lefteous suggested here.
