Suggestions for Tab options in Totalcmd

Post by *navaja »

It would be nice to be able to configure each tab with it's own settings...
For example:

 Configure [Tab A] to show all associated symbols but [Tab B] to show only standard symbols..and then to remember those settings on close.

 Configure [Tab D] to sort directories by name but [Tab C] to sort directories like files.

Etc.

...I can't wait for the tabs interface!!

Me neither!

Also, some restrictions on navigation would be great.

I think Christian has already mentioned a selectable restriction on navigating UP the directory hierarchy, but a restriction on navigating DOWN the hierarchy (from the tab location) would be good, too.

Configure [Tab D] to sort directories by name but [Tab C] to sort directories like files.
This will be supported (it's already implemented), as well as showing only certain file types, and showing brief, full, or tree view mode. However, some things will remain global:
- the selection of which icons are shown
- comments view on/off (not sure about that yet)
- font settings

In general, those options which need to be changed via the config dialog will be global, and those which are changed via the "show" menu are local.
