"Append All" through Copy command ?

Post by *ronen »

Hello,
I need to merge a large number of text files and I was very happy to discover the "Append" option on the Copy command confirmation option. Is there a way for me to automate the "Append" and then "Yes" process ? so it'll be more like "Append all"...
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Yes, just do the following:
1. Use the multi-rename tool to give the parts ascending names, e.g. with the following rename scheme:
part[C:3]

2. Use Files - Combine on the FIRST file to combine the parts.

Thanks for the quick response.
I think that my question wasn't so clear. I have to copy files to a destination directory, and some of the files already exists - so the append should take place between each pair of files (with the same name).
