Post by *tooms »

i wish i have this function in TC becures i many times i copy data from one server to a server behind a firewall where only some ports are open

Would it be possible to do what you want using FTP?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Why? Can you explain why FTP is not good enough?

Because you need to run ftp server :)
After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breath and reboot.

I did. What he wants is tcp/ip fileserver but embedded into TC. Usually ftp servers are commercial (therefore the pay factor) and you need to install them on the machine you want to use it.
What he seeks is convenience. (IMHO)
