As the title of the topic says, I'd like to have an easy way of copying just the selected filename, and not the extension, i.e. "filename.txt" is selected, but only "filename" is copied to the clipboard.
I've looked thorugh totalcmd.inc, but couldn't find this small feature, though I'm sure there is an easy way to do this...
TIA

Currently there isn't - but there are third party tools which integrate with the right click context menu which may be able to do this, e.g. http://home.worldonline.dk/ninotech/ (click on free utilities).

We also have the CatalogMaker WCX plugin that can help you here.

Slightly deferent approach but same result. I mainly use it to retrieve just the filenames of my mp3 files in order to create the CD artwork with the track titles.
