phpBB is a great forum but I prefer Invision Board which is more beautiful, have more options and takes less resources (I tried the both).

To compare, you can look at my forum : http://www.chelly.net/invb/

Welcome back! I promise to make backups now...

@Ergo
I have already added some hacks (even did some changes myself!), so I will have a look at that 'quick reply' hack.

Welcome back André!

I can change this if you want. How much was it in the old board? How much do you need? I don't want to have pages of signatures, but a reasonable size is OK. :)

OK, changed it to 256 characters.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any configuration option for smilies in the signature, so I will probably have to write a custom modification. I could completely disallow smilies in the signature. What do you think?

@Ergo:
Just added a quick reply hack! Please try it. The quick reply window is only visible if a reply is possible (user is logged in and thread isn't locked).

My first post.

Hello everybody,
It's good to be back, I missed you all !!!!!!

And what a beautifull fresh new forum, ready to be filled with good total commander tips and plugins news.

Well, might as well make a suggestion for the forum (or should I say board ?).

It's all looking quite nice and I see many are using their own avatars. The default avatars are all manga type faces, what IMHO is quite boring and does not add anything to personalize one's identity. (and nobody really wants to use them because somebody else might use the same one)

What about replacing them (or adding) some country flags. I have a nice collection of 193 countries (only 47 KB) http://snow.prohosting.com/maxwish/flags.zip
Besides, this might give the forum a (more) international flair and remind people that not everybody has English as his/her native language.

What do you think ?
