Quick Search With Numeric Keypad

Forgive me if this has come up before but I noticed on my machine that I can use the ctrl-alt combination with numbers on the top of the keyboard but I can't with the numeric keypad. Is there a ini setting for this or just how it's supposed to function?

I think this is because Alt+NumPad is simulating a keystroke defined by the number. For example Alt-(NumPad)65 results in 'A' (this way you can even access "keys" which aren't on your keyboard). This is controlled by Windows itself and AFAIK TC can't do anything against.
