Characters are repeating

Good day,

On a Win2K Server SP4, I'm actually evaluating TotalCommander v5.51.

In the Configuration -> Options -> Quick Search, I selected the "Letters - with search dialog" option.

The problem I'm facing, is that when I type the first letter of the file/group of files I want to display, the "Search box" at the bottom is filled up with the letter I just type.

For instance, if I type "w", then the box will show as follow :
"Search : wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"

I'm not holding the key, so I really don't see what can cause this. Obviously there must be an option in the ini file that control this behavior, however there are so many options out there, I don't want to make the things worse than what they are.

Help would be greatly appreciated to fix this problem.

Thanks for the hint.

I registered today to this forum, and before posting the message above I did a search on "Quick Search" which returned me no results.

I then posted my message.

When I came back to the site, to browse through the messages, I found out that there was another thread which was discussing about the problem I had. It was a bit late to say "oopps, sorry!"
