BIG bug in zip extracting on Windows XP

Post by *robert.china »

this bug is found when I switched from win2000 to winxp, I am waiting for the solution, while even for the latest hotfix for 5.51, I can't see the bug-fixing. So I decide to post it here.

assue there is a zip file holding the following data
dir1/file1
dir2/file2
file3

on windows xp, run windows commander 5.51, and select this file, then press ctrl-pagedown to look into its content, then use "*" to select all the files and directory, then press F5 to copy them to right panel. You will find in the right panel:
dir1/
dir2/
file1
file2
file3

This symptom only appears on windows xp, it is ok on windows 2000.

It's not a bug! You may have unckecked the setting "Unpack path names if stored with file names" in the "Unpack files"-dialog. Ckeck it and it will work fine.
