CD command and files synchronization

Post by *big_john »

Hello.

I'm using 'cd' command in the command line and if directory is changing to the top level (one of more) current directory name becomes broken. It contains double points.
For example, my current directory is c:\dir1
I'm typing: cd ../dir2
Now I have c:\dir1\../dir2 in the current directory name displaying.

I don't really care about it, BUT after such command directories synchronization feature doesn't work! I get the following message:

Error - Synchronize only supports the following combinations:
directory<->directory
directory<->zip archive
directory<->ftp server
zip archive<->zip archive (compare only)

Thanks

Yes, curious (using win98), but if you type the backslash "\" instead of slash "/" it works fine ...

This problem seems to be independend from the OS. I have XP Professional.
I guess using slash is a little more convenient, because it's position is right under little finger :)

Anyway, thanks for advice.

That's on of the troubles with different keyboard layouts. Depending on country there will alwys be problems to reach some special keys. On German layout Slaxh and Backslash ar just equally awkward.
