Have you tried MS Office file viewer plugin?
I've tried with several Word Perfect files and.. it works (you must configure office.ini).
But you must have Ms Office converter files installed (*.cnv) in your system.

WP Viewer

I have the converters installed (I think) but I have no clue how to set up the office.ini file. Any help appreciated.

Have you read the readme attached to the plugin? There is a description how to install the plugin and how the ini file works.
Unfortunately I don't use wp files, I've only downloaded some files form Internet to check if works and... it worked for most.
There is an example my office.ini file - look at the lines: 8 and 9.

Code: Select all

[converters]
0=doc,D0CF11E0A1B11AE1,mswrd832.cnv
1=doc,D0CF11E0A1B11AE1,mswrd632.cnv
2=doc,D0CF11E0A1B11AE1,mswrd632.wpc
3=doc,D0CF11E0A1B11AE1,WRD6EX32.CNV
4=doc,DBA52D00,WNWRD232.CNV
5=xls,D0CF11E0A1B11AE1,EXCEL32.CNV
6=wri,31BE,write32.wpc
7=wri,32BE,write32.wpc
8=wpd,,Wpft532.cnv
9=wpd,,Wpft632.cnv
You can also try to use the Signature in the lines (search the readme).

Your example worked. Thanks much.

I downloaded two addins at the same session and the readme got overwritten. Which brings up another issue: maybe we can have a naming convention for readme files, so that they aren't all named the same thing. It actually creates work to manage those files, and the potential for what happened to me. It would be so much easier if each had a unique name.

Well, I've got for each plugin it's own folder (like TC/plugins/lister/xy-viewer/)
I'd strongly recomend to use such a struktur because many plugins came alon with a config.ini for example...
