cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly does not display tags of html files

Post by *pakosan »

As the title says, the cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly command does not display tags of html files. I thought this command would display the content of files as they are, without any parsing or interpretation, just text. Perhaps I am missing something.

I found an old thread speaking around this issue (below) but no solution that I can understand.

Thank you all.

You could open Lister as a standalone program via command line:
Totalcmd.exe /S=L filename

It accepts additional parameters separated by a colon, e.g. /S=L:AT1C1250
A ANSI/Windows text
S ASCII/DOS text
V Variable width text
T1..T7 View mode 1-7 (1: Text, 2: Binary, 3: Hex, 4: Multimedia, 5: HTML, 6:Unicode, 7: UTF-8)
C<nr> Codepage, e.g. C1251 for Cyrillic
N Auto-detect, but no multimedia or plugins allowed
P<x> As LAST parameter: Choose plugin, e.g. /S=L:Piclview for iclview plugin (As shown in Lister title)

Thank you for the quick reply. I will look into those options.

Is there a reason why cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly cannot do the job? What other constraints does it have, meaning, are there other file types affected?

Yes, RTF files are also still not showed as the native code.

Personaly I think that cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly should show all files as native code (i.a. in Text or Binary mode)...

There is a much newer thread - https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50982
Follow the instructions posted there, additionally you can disable RTF on the same configuration window.

cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly opens the internal Lister without any plugins but Lister itself can interpret several filetypes including HTML, JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and RTF. What you need is what Christian wrote above - start the standalone Lister with T1 or T2 as parameters, as desired.

If someone needs a Quick View to browse and select files at the same time (with Insert), Lister is not a option!

Yes, but with cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly is is only HTML and RTF files that are shown rendered (if so configured), JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, ICO files (that can also be interpreted by TC internally) are shown as code with cm_SrcQuickInternalOnly - that is inconsistant
