How about you wait until the search is finished?

Or maybe I will not wait? Why does not the file preview work while searching?

You're making your life harder than it is:
As I noticed in another picture (16 million files), you didn't check 'Everything' when searching with TC.
Probably not this time either (unfortunately not visible in the picture).

The search in TC with integration of "Everything" allows the use of an indexed search for files (e.g. JPG).
The search only with TC has no indexing, i.e. it takes longer.

Maybe you should read this carefully, there are interesting possibilities for using TC with Everything described:
How to use TC <=> Everything

- As Dalai said: "Because you have to wait until the search is finished" (ALT+F7?).
- Search in separate process... Alt+Shift+F7 would be a way to...

However, you can also start a second TC instance before starting a search.
Until the search run is finished, you can perform activities in the 2nd TC instance.

Here is a button:

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
%COMMANDER_EXE%
%Z/N %X"%P" "%T"
TOTALCMD.EXE
Open another TC-instance:|Instance-No. + Versions-Nr. + registered user in title bar |%COMMANDER_EXE% %Z/N %X"%P" "%T"|See also: https://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=49620 -> Parameter

tuska - I do not have so many files anymore. It's the same thing you need, but deleting very small files takes a long, long time, as well as searching for dimensions takes a long time. I am trying to remove unnecessary things, although here I can make a mistake, and I want to look at a file, which I can not do. Minor mistakes can cost you removing important files.

Alt+Shift+F7 It does not work because it is blocked by a window on top

Everything Tool - it does not accelerate anything completely, I even think I have to wait for the result all day and then there is nothing.

Then maybe it's still not bad that I showed you alternatives.

Then you should check your settings in "Everything" under Menu "Tools" - "Options...":
☐   Run as administrator
✅ Everything Service

Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC (Task-Manager) ... Tab (Services) --> Everything: Status: "Running" is required.
If necessary, restart the Everything service (right click - start).

Then use the button for a 2nd TC instance above.

It is probably your Graphics card configuration program that "steals" the Alt+Shift press - try the opposite Shift button...
