Please tell me how to view database file "history.db-wal", created by Total Commander function Search while searching many duplicate files
(database file path
C:\Documents and Settings\User
\AppData\Local\Far Manager (sic!
this is yet another unsolved mystery)
\Profile\history.db-wal = 1.3MB - almost 3 days long Search).
Or else how to work within Search Results window (i.e. to open, copy, delete, etc. these found duplicate files). Please, help me.
Yours sincerely

Re: I need help with "Duplicate files search"
TC does never ever create such database files.
Also \AppData\Local\Far Manager is not related to Total Commander but to Far Manager.
So ask the poeple in that tools forum and not TC users.

Re: I need help with "Duplicate files search"
The file history.db-wal is NOT created by TC, neither by its Search function nor any other function.
As the path "C:\Documents and Settings\User\AppData\Local\Far Manager\Profile\history.db-wal" suggests this file is most probably created by FAR Manager, another file manager. Firefox uses a similar naming scheme: .sqlite-wal. WAL stands for Write-Ahead Log and such files are typically only present when a program is active, and should get deleted when the corresponding program is closed.

Re: I need help with "Duplicate files search" (Far Manager, history.db-wal)
WAL and SHM files may be created by any software using SQLite libs, including TC Lister plugins, f.e. SQLiteViewer. They may stay after closing the program but they should be empty (0 bytes - WAL and 32 KB - SHM). However, some programs just don''t care…
