Total Commander icon in Windows 10 start menu

Post by *CAP-Team » 2019-06-21, 20:52 UTC

I created a file called TOTALCMD64.VISUALELEMENTSMANIFEST.XML and put it in my Total Commander folder.
The contents of this file:

Code: Select all

<Application xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
  <VisualElements
        BackgroundColor="#1A3D76"
        ShowNameOnSquare150x150Logo="on"
        Square150x150Logo="LogoImages\Totalcmd_150x150.png"
        Square70x70Logo="LogoImages\Totalcmd_70x70.png"
        ForegroundText="light" />
</Application>
And I created two PNG files, which I put in the LogoImages folder, located in the Total Commander folder.

I you now create a shortcut to Totalcmd64 in the Windows 10 start menu, you have a nice big icon instead of the small default icon.
