[SOLVED] How to create GIF animation?

Hello,

From https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm, I tried both "GIF 1.3 2011/09/30" and "Imagine 1.09 2012/11/20", but found no obvious item in the menu bar to turn a bunch of GIF files into an animated GIF.

Am I doing it wrong?

This are plugins to view graphic files and not to manipulate or create them.
TC itself is a file manager, not a tool to create pictures.

GIF 1.3 says "Can unpack frames from animated GIFs, and also create them".

Anyway, is there a free Windows application you would recommend?

Irfanview doesn't create animated GIF either, I couldn't get FastStone Image Viewer to do it either, and UnFREEz isn't very good (no preview, input files must first be converted to GIF, and it doesn't say when it's done.)

In Imagine plugin (F3 in TC) - right click on image and choose "Tools" -> "Animation Editor..."
In Imagine standalone (Imagine.exe) - Menu -> "Tools" -> "Animation Editor..."

There is a newer version 1.1.0 of Imagine: http://www.nyam.pe.kr/dev/imagine/

For others' benefit, here's how to do it using the stand-alone version of Imagine (1.1.0):
1. If need be, all the pics that will be merged into an animated GIF must first be converted into GIF, and have the same size and color depth. Imagine's Batch Conversion doesn't seem to support that, so you'll have to use eg. IrfanView
2. Launch Imagine.exe
3. Tools > Animation Editor
4. Frame > Insert Frame: Add GIF pictures
5. Select all the pictures (CTRL+A), and choose Frame > Frame Properties: Set duration between pictures.
6. File > Save as → GIF.
