Firefox + Total Commander + VirtualBox

hi
totally new with ubuntu and im having some problems, if anyone can help me will make my ubuntu life easier

FIREFOX
with firefox on windows i used to open .php as html (files that saved on my hd)
with firefox on ubuntu i cant do that, when i ask to open a .php file with firefox i think that "download" the file and save it to my download folder

TOTAL COMMANDER
with Total Commander (win) i was able to temp unpack all the files in a zip
eg i have on my hd a zip file with a website template, i was clicking the index.html for preview the template and the total commander ask me if i want to temp unpack all the files ( i need that cuz a webpage use many files, eg css)
i have try many ubuntu total commanter like apps but none can do that

VIRTUALBOX
i have install virtualbox so to test my work on windows too
but i cant see any of my hd from the virtualbox, only the image hd with the wins
how can i see the system hd from the virtualbox windows ?

You can use Total Commander on Ubuntu via Wine. The good thing is that even most plugins work just fine.

It's a problem of MIME type defined on the server. If the server reports a MIME type of application/octet-stream, firefox will try to download the file.
