I have a view mode/auto switch mode that automatically shows the descript.ion column when there is one present in the folder you open.
But it only works when you have "view hidden files" on. Is there a way to make it work when you have "view hidden files" off so the view mode/auto switch mode I've setup always works.
Also: when the "view hidden files" is off: you enter a folder with a hidden file, and then set "view hidden files" on (via the shortcut) the view mode/auto switch mode is not 'activated' which is a bit strange. The contents of file panel is updated to it should "trigger" the auto switch mode in my view.

Re: View mode/auto switch mode with hidden file/dir - descript.ion
No, the auto switch function looks for files only in the loaded list. If you don't load certain files, then they cannot be seen by the auto switch function either.
