In the ignore list you can add specific files or directories to exclude from the file list.
But sometimes you need to exclude files under certain paths only. For example, I want to exclude *.metathumb in the WD TV Live directory on my NAS only, but not on my main drive.
This is not working:
z:\multimedia\*\*.metathumb
What I would like is to have *.metathumb excluded anywhere under z:\multimedia\ eg:
z:\multimedia\movie1.metathumb
z:\multimedia\action\movie2.metathumb
z:\multimedia\sci-fi\movie3.metathumb
I would suggest using the linux convention where * can match anything but not across directories and ** can match across directories.
So the path would be:
z:\multimedia\**\*.metathumb
