Directory Hotlist Ctrl+D: Quick keyboard shortcuts for items

Post by *bashtux »

Hi there

I have been a paid users for many many years now (15years plus)

I would love to see a feature added to TC for the Directory Hotlist.

Feature Requested:
The first 10 items in the hotlist have a numerical number associated with them. (0-9)

This will enable the following behaviour

Ctrl->D->(0-9) to quick select an item in the first 10 rows.
This will be a bit quicker than having to scroll up or down with the arrow keys to the wanted DIR shortcut.

Eg:

Ctrl->D
Direcotry Hotlist Opens

Displayed List:
(0) My Documents
(1) Downloads
(2) Some folder
..
..
..
..
(9) Some folder

Hit number on keyboard to make selection within the list.
Once memorised and going to often used shortcuts this can speed up the flow.

Many thanks
Bradley

You can do the following:

Code: Select all

(&0) My Documents
(&1) Downloads
(that is, add ampersand before digit).
First, it reminds you the corresponding digit, no need to memorize anything. Second, it does as requested: executes some item by pressing digit key.
So, I don't support your suggestion
