Is it possible to batch change the date of files by metadata?

Is it possible to batch change the date of a group of files by it`s metadata?

For example, pdf, msoffice files, jpg (exif)...

Some Plugins that can provide metadata:
Exif (jpg)
Shelldetails (many formats)
xpdfsearch (pdf)
Summary (many formats)
Jpg-comment (jpg)
Totalsqx (sqx archives)
