How to Find all files with the same extension across folders

Post by *aptiva4tc »

I did it once and can't remember how I did it.

I have many email folders and subfolders, each of which has file named *.tbb. How do I have all the *.tbb files across folders listed in the window?

[I am using TC 9.0a 64bit on Win7.]

Thanks in advance.

  • Activate Branchview:
CTRL + B or Menu:Commands > Branch View (With Subdirs)
  • MArk all files with the same extension:
ALT + Num+ or Menu:Mark > Select All With Same Extensin

Branch view takes minutes to make the view, is elaborate and does not use Everything. I would use the file search (Alt-F7) and search for *.tbb. Use e.g. C:\ as starting point and no limitations to the depth of the directories. And you can move the list to a pane. And you don't need to look between all those other files.
