Bug(?): View (F3) or Quick View (Ctrl+Q) MP3 file in Lister

Post by *mrle »

If the MP3 file has attached JPG image ("Album Art"/"Artwork") in ID3v2 Tag larger than 120KB (122,880 bytes), TC Lister can't play it... Only displays that "hieroglyphs" of the binary file.

I'm talking about embedded TC Lister player, without any WLX plugins. And I've never tested other tags (APE etc), other image formats (PNG etc), other audio formats (OGG etc).
I don't know whether the problem is in TC Lister or perhaps in Windows.

One test file (with 149.680 bytes JPG), if someone here can confirm the problem - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4cXrTly23OeY1g5RmtpcWViYmc

That's a known limitation of the used player control. Since that player control is part of Windows itself, I cannot fix it.

As an alternative, use one of the mp3 player plugins.
