The TwinKey plugin has such a function but unfortunately its not fully compatible with current TC version.

If you do not mind using an intermediate file, you can use SAVETABS[L/R] or SAVETABS2[L/R] commands.

i.e:

Code: Select all

SAVETABS2 <File>
Will save both tabs Active First in a file.
You can use OPENTABS <File> to reload the saved lest.

You can then edit or see file using editor or viewer directly or by defining user commands to chain.

It sounds like you have disabled "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "LAyout" -> "Show current directory" - this will show the current directory directly over the tabheaders of the file panel.

Well, a separate list of tabs with path would be very helpful to distinguish between same folder names on different servers.
Imagine you have tabs for multiple servers on /var/ftp.
Every tab will show "ftp" only ... and yes, you can activate each tab to figure out which server is meant and keep fingers crossed that none of them is currently offline.
I will help a lot if you just pick the one which is actual needed from a list.

I have again enabled TwinKey to get the tab list feature.
In the past I had some crashes but with the current TC beta it looks stable.
I don't run Dark mode which is not possible with TwinKey enabled.

No need to - if you have enabled "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Display" -> "Help texts" -> "Show filename in file list if truncated" - the when a tab is not in the foreground, hovering it with the mouse shows a tooltip with the full path - on physical Disks, on FTP, on Network shares and inside Archives.
