Strange FTP dir listing format

Post by *Maciej J. Pyka »

Hi all,
I found FTP site with strange, and difficult to handle in TC, dir listing format. The address is: cr.yp.to
In the listing different fields are separated with comas, so I have question about future TC feature. Now ! chaaracter skips all characters until first space or EOL. It would be nice to extend this so !=x will skip all characters untill first x character or EOL.
With regards

This is indeed a funny format. You can't do much about it, but you can at least browse it this way: Define a user-defined server types with the folliwing string:
----------------------------d=/d=/!-nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
This will at least show files and dirs, although it will not show any file sizes.

Curious problem: the dialoge to define the new server doesn't appear.
So I deleted my wcx_ftp.ini and tried again - it worked! :D

Copying the settings to my old wcx_ftp.ini - same as before: emtpy filewindow.
Maybe I have too much entries (81 up to now) :(

Any idea?

Greetings,
Cheer up, Karl

You can always bring up this dialog during a connection with Alt+Shift+Enter if it doesn't appear automatically.
