File with comments is descript.ion (or files.bbs), check again. It's hide by default.

The file name is descript.ion not descriptio.ion

Descriptions can also be saved in a files.bbs file - you select what type in "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Operation" -> "File comments" -> "Preferred type" and/or "Read from both"

There are a lot of comments in the file you show - " DirectShow filters (64-bit) for use in Lister - Media Player" is a commenf for example.

When you install or update TC it installs a new descript.ion file - so any comments you might have made for other files than TC's own files will be lost.

DESCRIPT.ION files are placed in individual directories, where the commented files are!

As I told you - your comments for files in TC's program directory got lost when you installed a new version of TC, because the TC installer overwrites the current descript.ion file. To avoid that you can take a backup of the file before installing new versions of TC.

Comments for files in other directories are stored in descript.ion files in their respective directories. They are not changed when updating TC.

So i found the descript.ion 100s of them ,as all videos were in sub directories and i was editing comments from parent directory with files view.
Is there a way to make the descript.ion in a single place for all files????
