Save tabs for later use. Different folders.

Post by *florinf »

Hi everybody,

Is there a way to save all the tabs, left and right for later use? And change them to access different folders based on switching works or clients or school classes and access to specific materials. I use maybe 20 tabs of different folders right now. Would be easier to switch them some how. Maybe with an access to a button in the middle bar?

Thank you all in advance.

To save the current tabs just do a right click on any tab and select the according item to save it like mytabname.tab.
You may do the same to load the tabs again.

Alternatively you can create a button with command
OPENTABS pathToTabfile\mytabname.tab

You can also save tabs with these commands:
SAVETABS <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, active side
SAVETABSL <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, left side
SAVETABSR <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, right side
SAVETABS2 <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, both sides (active=first)
SAVETABS2L <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, both sides (left=first)
SAVETABS2R <filename> Save tabs to .tab file, both sides (right=first)

To open the tabs again you can either replace the current tab with:
OPENTABS <filename> Open tabs from saved .tab file, active side
OPENTABSL <filename> Open tabs from saved .tab file, left side
OPENTABSR <filename> Open tabs from saved .tab file, right side

Or you can append tthe tabs with;
APPENDTABS <filename> Append tabs to existing tabs, active side
APPENDTABSL <filename> Append tabs to existing tabs, left side
APPENDTABSR <filename> Append tabs to existing tabs, right side

Thank you, Petermad. I have found them and yes, they are very useful. Having fun now creating different configuration for each of my classes.
Thank you once again.
