FTP bug ?

Post by *nicol »

Hi ,

i'm connecting a ftp site (unix) in a directory /users and i want to go to /users/log :

1 i type cd /users/log or cd log in the TC command line and it works

2 now i want to do the same thing with the CTRL D directory list , i write a new entry "cd /users/log" but it doesn't work at all.
I'm forced to write
"cd ftp://username@hostname/users/log/"
and because i wanted to do the same command for all my hosts (same tree view).

thanks

Just a suggestion with some reservations! ;-)

Try to define your folders with backslashes and excluding the “cd” bit of the command. Try all the combinations. I don’t know if this will work since I do not have access to a Unix server in order to test it myself but I can remember a similar problem that had been posted on the old forum.

See also Dialog box: Connection details in the help file of TC.

Remark: The use of “cd”, forward slashes and backslashes may be treaded differently by different features (i.e. Start Menu, command line, directory hotlist etc) of TC so play around.

Best of luck!

The problem is that with a command
cd directory
it's not clear whether this should go to a local dir or remote server...
