Incorrect Japanese filename display (Characters)

Post by *DeadMan »

I am trying out TC 5.50a and already hit a snag. When trying to rename filenames with weird character sets like Japanese I get this

When in Explorer it displays it correctly like this

I tried changing the language in TC to Japanese and all it did was change TC's own language not the filenames. I also tried chaging the filename font in TC's options with no success.

Total Commander currently don't support unicode characters.

When will it support unicode? I have a lot of Japanese MP3's that have kanji characters. I need to be able to rename them and it looks like Explorer is the only way to do it at present.

You also can rename these files. Just press Shift-F6.

Which system are you running? Setting your default regional options to Japanese would also help.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
