Wrong search result for value in xlsx files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Wrong search result for value in xlsx files

Post by *samiking »

During the search among 12 xlsx files, when I search for text in "Find text" field and select to search only in "Office xml (docx, xlsx, odt etc)+EPUB",
I receive wrong results - sometimes one of the files in list does contain text that I entered in "Find text" field and sometimes none the files in result list contain the text.

Total Commander looks inside the xml files inside these xlsx files - they are just renamed zip files. Please go to one of these false positives in a normal Total Commander panel and open it with Ctrl+PageDown. Then look inside the xml files with F3 and check whether the search string is there. You may need to switch to plain text mode with '1'.
