The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Total Commander is Total-ly cool.
Things that I like include:
its longevity.
its aesthetically retro installer.
its detail level. It is possibly 1 of few (if it is not the only) file manager to utilize both day- and millisecond-level precision for displaying the length of audio (and possibly video).
However, I found something that might have been an oversight in the design. Image:
