TC pocket works well on what hardware?

Post by *nn1k3 »

Please point me in the right direction.
I like TC so much that it affects my decision to buy hardware.

When I replace my old Palm Vx handheld and/or Motorola V325 cellphone, I want the new hardware to work perfectly with TC. What are the buzzwords I should look for (for example: "WM6")?

Yes, Windows Mobile 5 or 6. If you want to use "send via bluetooth", then you will need a device with the Microsoft bluetooth stack. To my knowledge, most of the HTC PocketPC phones (and their rebranded cousins from T-Online, O2 etc.) have the Microsoft stack (but better double check it).

If you want to get a Windows Mobile based phone, I recommend that you get one with touchscreen, it's much easier to use than the Smartphone without touchscreen, and there is more software available (all the PocketPC software). Total Commander Pocket supports both device types, though.
