Unable to run CECMD on iPAQ 310

Post by *joeazzi »

Hi,
I unpacked Total Commander 2.51 in the /os/games/cecmd directory but am unable to launch the app.
Every time I try to run the app I get an error:
CECMD.exe > "Cannot find 'CECMD' (or one of its components.) Make sure the path and finename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

I tried cecmd beta ver 2.52 and got the same results.
Renamed cecmd.exe to NAV.exe still got the same results.

Has anyone had this issue running HP's ROM version dated 7/08?

Info:
iPAQ 310 North American version
HP's latest ROM version July 08

thanks

Try using the "Windows CE" version instead of the PocketPC version. The iPaq 310 seems to be based on the "Windows CE" operating system and misses some PocketPC-specific dlls.

Your suggestion worked :D
I thought iPAQ 310 was based on WM 5 but as you said it looks more like a CE than WM

Thank you very much
