Select multiple files on smartphone?

How do I select multiple files (but not all) on the smartpone version? My htc maple keypad has no control key. Is there another key that doubles for the control key? A menu item I missed?

If you use the Pocket version (which you should when you have a smartphone with touch screen), you can tip on the "Ctl" button in the toolbar.

If you use the Smartphone version, the left softkey/button is for selecting.

Yes, thank you. I use both, have 3 devices. I am retiring the touchscreen ones in favor of my newest device.

On the Smatrphone (no touch screen), I am unable to select files out of order. I can use the soft key to select one file, but as soon as I use the roller ball to scroll to the next file, the first gets unselected. I can select multiple files in order by pressing the select (softkey) multiple times.

How do I use it like I would with the control key on my old touchscreen phones?

Unfortunately you can select only select files in order on the touchscreen-less smartphone, or use the "Select/undelect files" dialog to select groups of files.
