Hello tbeu,

I tried your plugin (2.2.0.1) some days ago, it worked.

However, newer versions like 2.2.0.10 can no longer be installed on my PC. Error message during installation is:
"Error loading plugin file! The plugin probably needs some DLLs missing on your system."
Your newer versions do have a dependency on "Microsoft.VC90.CRT", right?

Which DLLs are needed to run your plugin and how to get the DLLs?

I compile in VS 2008 EE with /MT option, hence the Microsoft C runtime library is statically linked with the plugin. There should be no dynamic dependency to an other runtime library, both in Vs 2.2.0.1 or 2.2.0.10. You can check the dependencies with fileinfo plugin or depends.

On another PC (also Win XP SP3, more or less similar configurations) I could install your plugin without any problems. So probably it has to do with my PC. I will try to find the reason and further investigate, sorry for this trouble.

I like your plugin, but I'm used to keep the ini with the plugin.

There may some situations where the plugin folder is not writable anymore, but it makes it difficult to backup or synch the plugin.

Is there any chance to support both locations such as:

If it is at plugin folder, take this one.
Else try to find it at wincmd.ini location.

I am also used to have the INI file in the plugin directory. However as support question increased where plugin initialization failed due to the missing writing rights in the plugin directory I changed it as it is recommened by the plugin API. Anyway, it is a good idea to support both plugin directory and wincmd.ini directory. Please wait for next fix.

2Hacman: WDX-jpg-comment is a content-plugin.

First install the plugin by doubleclick the zip-file.
Now you can use it :
- at the search function (Alt+F7) on Plugin-tab
- at "custom column" you can display values
- at "File - Change attributes" function (just press "More attributes" button) you can write values
