Thanks for the improvements, this is looking better already :).

There are still two annoying glitches for me:
1. I have to press Disconnect twice.
2. The config window does not respect my windows theme, it seems to have a hard-coded silver style. Could you change that please?
TC for Linux please!

Yes, it's really annoying.

Could it be possible adding a new mailbox like a folder by pressing F7 in panel?

The Disconnect problem seems to be a quite old annoyance, see topic:
http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=15319#15319

I'm looking forward to the further development of this plugin...

By the way:
Can we expect features as SSL and HTTP Proxy Support in the near future (both features, which were promised for the POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin written by André Martin, but unfortunately were never implemented or released so far) ?

I knew nothing about this plugin. Now I have downloaded it, but could not install (the message on absent libraries is shown).

In any case, i shall try to understand a problem of the annoying button though I do not think, that it is very important.

I shall try to implement these features, but I can not promise anything. It depends only on a free time, which I have.

I used the installer from
http://www.acd-group.com/Softwaredevelopment/POP3Plugin/POP3Plugin.exe
and did not get any error.

I really use this plugin on a daily basis, to filter out some of the spam or to have a quick view. However I still miss SSL, which is necessary e.g. for GMail.

I has downloaded the program under link above, and successfully installed plugin. Yes, this plugin works very well, but you can be convinced, that my plugin already now gives more opportunities.
SSL support also necessary for me (i have GMail-account too ;)), but it will demand a lot of time in any case.

New version is available:

v. 0.9a (07.01.2007)
* "Apply" button in mailbox options become activated only after modifications.
* Sorting on all user columns works.
* Language files extension changed to *.mpl (to avoid problems with user columns translation).
* SMTP options unlocked (though do nothing).
+ XP style support.
+ Mailbox copying (via F5 or context menu).
+ Make directory in plugin filesystem makes a new mailbox.
+ Removing directory in plugin filesystem removes a selected mailbox.
+ Messages caching (optional): all downloaded messages cached like a headers -> mail access acceleration and traffic economy.
+ Progress displayed at an entering to mailbox. Operation can be cancelled, thus work with already received letters will be possible (very useful for slow and unstable connections).
+ Message viewer added.
+ Viewing and saving attachments in internal viewer added.
+ Plugin behaviour on messages opening (Enter) and on properties viewing (Alt+Enter) can be adjusted.

See first post to get the link.

To translaters:
Now it is not necessary to send me translation files for a plugin. It is not finished yet, and essential changes in interface part can be possible. I shall inform, when you can send me you files, now you can post links to your translations in this thread, if you wish.

Ok, i already catch this bug.

Select something in the language list and save options, this bug should not repeat.

Thanks for the new version.

I've got one more suggestion for improving behaviour of "Apply" and "OK" buttons. Usually in most applications it works like this:

Apply - apply changes.
OK - apply changes and close the window.
Cancel - cancel changes and close the window

Could you do it similar in mail plugin? Now Ok works in the same way as Cancel.

Could you also ask for saving changes if the changes are done (Apply is active) but the user switches to another account or tab. Now the user loses his changes (but Apply button still is Active).

The "Apply" button applies mail options only. It is made by design, specially as mail account options logically differs from plugin options.
"OK" button applies plugin options (not mail account options) and closes the window, "Cancel" button just close the window. I can add "Apply" button for plugin options only, though it not seems necessary to me.
Could you also ask for saving changes if the changes are done (Apply is active) but the user switches to another account or tab. Now the user loses his changes (but Apply button still is Active).
Ok, i'll fix it.

OK, I see.
So you could also add similar checking and question (about changes in accounts) when user presses OK button and Apply button is still active.

Could Esc close internal message viewer, now it does it but you must first click to any place in the viewer?

Of cource, i'll add this.

Internal viewer isn't fully ready yet, and some features (like hotkeys) will be added later.

OK, thanks.

I also have been using the mentioned above pop3plugin for a long time but now I see I will change it soon :-)

Two more things:
I know the internal viewer isn't fully ready yet but I write it to remember about it:
- when you open several mails - closing one window closes all other too.
- when you open the same mail twice and close the first one you can't close the second (Invalid pointer operation).
