F4Menu for all v0.58

Whenever i press F4 to invoke F4menu while in thumbnails mode, i get the error "Cannot find the default editor, please set it again" and then the empty dialog box for setting the editor. When i cancel that and press F4 again, menu shows as normal and continues working, until changing the view to something else and then back to thumbnails again. i.e. this bug happens on first press on F4 in thumbnails mode.

Here it is.
I pressed F4 on a jpg in thumbnail mode, got the error, then pressed Cancel on the dialog box. After that F4 again on the same JPG, F4 menu appears as normal.

I have set my F4Menu up to use ESC+F4 as the key for opnening in foreground mode. But somehow the state of the ESC key is "buffered", so if I press ESC, then release ESC and then press F4, the F4Menu also opens in foreground mode.

I would prefer (maybe optional) that foreground mode is only used when I press the two keys at the SAME time (as it used to be).
