Your current one is File Count (count number of files)

Thanks.
Did you try VisualDirSize https://totalcmd.net/plugring/visdirsize.html ? It offers also (limited) size / number informations plus filter.

A content plugin like DirSizeCalc is only suited to retrieve information per file. This can of course also be used by indexed-based tools like desktop search engines for indexing - directly asking all files on the disk is not the right way.

This question is answered with Everything in a second but never with this plugin.

Nice bookmarks but even without any bookmark in the Everything GUI:
Enter the drive letter to search.
Click on Size header to get the largest files on top

Or as Everything command in TC while on the root of the drive
ed:files: count:20 size:large

Size Constants:
tiny 0 KB < size <= 10 KB
small 10 KB < size <= 100 KB
medium 100 KB < size <= 1 MB
large 1 MB < size <= 16 MB
huge 16 MB < size <= 128 MB
gigantic size > 128 MB

Hi Lefteous, thanks for this great plugin. I use it by default in my Total Commander setup and find it very useful

A question, is there a limit in the size of DirSizeCalc's cache for files and folders?
I'm using it in a very large folder with numerous subfolders and files and it looks like it tries to compute the size of some subfolders when they are displayed again in the panel

Thanks

Looks like the standard download-Dir given at the top of this thread
http://lefteous.totalcmd.net/tc/dirsizecalc_eng.htm
somehow no longer exists because of the domain having expired.

Is there a new and current download location for v.2.22 of DirSizeCalc?

Addendum: The main Addon/Plugin-page of TotalCommander seems to offer v.2.21 as latest and current version - amazingly enough. :?

I use the DirSize plugin to display number of files in folders. It works perfect. But... I want to transfer (copy) these numbers into worksheet (Excel).
Is it possible?

Hi.
I still use dirsizecalc_1.21 version because of bkM2 units. But this version is not working with x64 because it's only 32-bit plugin so I have to use TCx32. Is there any possibility to use dirsizecalc with bkM2 on 64-bit TC?

I also installed the plugin "DirSizeCalc" (wdx_dirsizecalc_2.22.zip) in Total Commander (x64) 11.00b6,
but could not find the field.

Two plugins from Mr. Ghisler have the field "bkM2 (x.x)", namely "tc" (built-in) and "filesys" (Downloadlink - ZIP).

Examples:

Code: Select all

[=tc.size.bkM2]
[=filesys.size.bkM2]

In newer version you must configure plugin yourself by run DirSizeCalcSettings.exe or DirSizeCalcSettings64.exe in plugin directory!

honourable Lefteous at least was here on a forum at 08 Jun 2023
so - maybe it's reasonable to ask directly him about problems?
As for me I can add that something wrong with button Cancel in this settings dialog.
